Exploring the Microworld Workshop

CRUK Scientists at the 2014 Schools Science Conference

The DMS Lab as part of a group of Cancer Research UK scientists took part in the 2014 Schools Science Conference on 19 March 2014 at the Royal College of Pathologists to help present the “Exploring the Microworld” workshop.

Students learned how we use C. elegans to study animal development and cancer pathways and got a chance to mount and examine live worms under handheld microscopes and to watch worm embryos develop on research-grade microscopes on loan from the CRUK London Research Institute and Olympus.
